Big Carnivore Supplement provides nutritional
aspects which may be lacking or absent in the diet of large
carnivorous mammals. It provides balanced levels of vitamins,
minerals, essential fatty acids and carotenoids to animals fed a
primarily meat diet. Large felines including lions, tigers,
leopards and cheetah will benefit from the addition of Big Carnivore
Supplement. It can also be fed to canines such as wolves,
hyenas, hunting dogs and dingoes and to species of bears which have a high proportion of
meat in their diet.
Average nutrient
levels were established from published data for beef, lamb, horse,
venison, rabbit and chicken meat. On average an all-meat
diet contains adequate quantities of essential amino acids,
nicotinamide, choline, potassium, sodium and selenium.
Big Carnivore Supplement provides increased levels of the other
essential nutrients listed, which may be deficient in an all-meat
diet (based on NRC recommendations).
To supplement an all meat diet, apply
10g
(1 level tablespoon) per kg of meat. This can be done by
slicing open a portion of meat and inserting the supplement into
the cut. Supplement rates are not applicable to animals fed on
a whole-body diet. |
